Writing content for your own site can be one of the most difficult things about having your own website. You know all about your company or business – your job is to tell others about it.
Below are some simple hints that may make the process a little bit easier:
It’s not about you: Your business is about your customers, not you. I can, we can etc. That’s what every website or brochure under the sun says. The way to engage with your customers is to as questions, identify their pain then offer the solution. Do you need, would you like, did you know gets people thinking about their own circumstances and situation.
Keep it simple: Websites with pages and pages of text actually bore visitors, so keep it simple. Identify their pain then hit them with the solution. Keep it brief, straight to the point.
Help With Google: Content is king in Google’s eyes, good clear content helps your site get ranked highly. But remember that Google is a bit thick as well, so you need to mage Google aware of important things. Bold a key product or service, use bullet points, try to mix in the service with the location; if people are looking for a builder in Newcastle make sure you say that you are a Builder in Newcastle and then add extra emphasis to it by making it bold, or put it in a bullet point, or even a header.
